Pastor Wilbert C. Adams

Reverend Wilbert C. Adams and his wife, Reverend Pamela, are proud parents of two sons, Derik and Devon. Reverend Adams is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond in 1987. In 1999, he obtained a Masters of Divinity Degree from Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia.

Rev. Adams was called to lead Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Ivor, Virginia, in October 2000, where he accomplished numerous significant initiatives. These include the establishment of Men’s, Women’s, Youth, and Praise Dance ministries, as well as the reinstatement of the Youth Choir and Children’s Church. Rev. Adams spearheaded the initiation of an annual youth revival, quarterly leadership workshops, several renovation projects, and the purchase of a new church van. Additionally, he played a pivotal role in establishing the family life conference and organizing an annual birthday celebration for Jesus.

In September 2011, Rev. Adams was called to lead Bethel Baptist Church in Franktown, Virginia, where he revitalized the Women’s and Men’s Ministries and initiated new ministries such as the W.C. Adams Unified Generation choir, the Couples Ministry, and quarterly leadership workshops. Since his tenure, Bethel Baptist Church has experienced increased membership and attendance.

Rev. Adams exemplifies his dedication to serving others by leading a delegation from Bethel Baptist Church to provide assistance to families in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Additionally, he has served as the former Director of Youth and former Chairman of the Board of Missions of the Eastern Shore of Virginia & Maryland Baptist Association.

Reverend Adams has served as a past Community Day speaker and facilitator for various organizations and institutions, including the Northampton County Public Schools, Northampton County NAACP, and the Citizens for a Better Eastern Shore. Pastor Adams is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
